2013-14 PE Funding

The Primary School PE and Sport Funding is a grant being paid directly to primary schools for 2013 – 2014 and 2014 – 2015. In the academic year 2013 – 2014 we will receive £8000 plus £5 per eligible pupil = £8600. This additional funding must be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport but schools have freedom to choose how they will spend this money.

We have chosen to allocate our funding in the following ways:

Action Planned Impact
Employment of a specialist PE teacher – Class teacher with some of salary allocated to Sports and PE Development across the school. Improved physical skills.
Increase in skills development and enhance learning opportunities in PE.
Interest and enjoyment in PE.
PE/Sports Manager training/conference on Sports Funding. Dissemination of information to staff and impact on planning.
Improvement on PE and Sports resources identified from training sessions).
Staff Training/ Gymnastics. Enhanced learning opportunities across the school.Increased staff confidence.

In 2013 our main Imaginative play frame was completely renewed, and was designed by the children. It incorporated opportunities for many skills to be practiced and is accessible to all our special needs pupils including those with physical disabilities.
