To increase staff subject knowledge and confidence in teaching and delivery of PE activities.

Subject leader to deliver INSET training to teaching staff.

Subject leader to offer all staff CPD opportunities through PE network. All staff (including TA’s) given outlines of available training.


Staff will deliver high quality PE lessons.

New schemes of work will be written for Gymnastics to improve quality of teaching of gymnastics.

To increase the amount of competitive sporting opportunities for children across the year. Participation in Surrey Heath Network Multi Skills competitions across the year.

Subject leader to continue to work within SHLP to strengthen links with schools and clubs/coaches.

A large proportion of children in KS1 will participate in inter-school Multi Skills competitions.

Children will experience competitive physical activity.

Most of the children in KS1 have participated in one or more intra-school Multi skills competition.

All children have had the opportunity to work with PE lead and experience intra or inter-school competition.

To provide children opportunities for children to become leaders in play.

To provide opportunity for increased activity levels during play and lunchtimes.

Audit of equipment carried out.

Subject leader to deliver Playmaker award to all Year 2 children.

Purchase of new equipment to offer more varied activities.


KS1 children engaged in activities at playtimes led by Year 2 children.

Children will have access to more high quality physical activities outside of lesson time.

Year 2 children trained in Playleader Award and leading playground games at play and lunchtimes.

Audit complete and new equipment has been purchased enabling children access to high quality activities.

To increase and enhance the quality of PE facilities. Purchase new PE equipment to support delivery of high quality PE lessons. Better equipment for pupils to ensure better provision. New benches for gymnastics purchased. New equipment purchased for games and movement skills.
